Ngā mihi Melisa, glad you enjoyed the episode!
Urutengangana has always been the pūrākau that gets me right in the ngākau feels. E mihi atu kia koe e pāpā. So appreciate your podcasts bro. I agree, more of our whānau need to utilise this beautiful resource of that, your whānau and your tūpuna have brought together for us to reconnect to our whakapapa. Mauri ora kia koe e te tungane.
Mauri ora ki a koe e hoa. This was a very touching pūrakau indeed and one that I will remember for sure. The strength in our vulnerability and the gift that lies within in it.
Why did so many Māori molest their own whanau member's? And it swept under the table. I was told it was pakeha fault for bringing alcohol into the picture which I'm calling Bullshit! I know many people from 40s up into their 70s that were beaten, molested by their own whanau member's and had to get counciling to work through the mamae.
E mihi ka tika ki a koe e te tungane mō tēnei kiriata e pā ana ki te kaupapa hirahira o Mahi a Atua, ngā pūrākau orokohanga anō hoki. This particular podcast has helped me, even as a Mataora who is fortunate enough to share in regular space with Di, be a tauira to fill my kete towards my own healing and then share that light within those Kete into Te Ao Marama. What a way to start my rā whānau. Mauri ora kia koe.
Hopefully see you at a wānanga in future e hoa!!
Oshhhh - beautiful talanoa ia 'āiga xo
Thank you for tuning in!!

More Mystical Magical Maori Bullshit created to rewrite history - There was never such a thing as Matariki until a few years ago when it was completely made up lol
Wow - it was always here actually. Hope you enjoy your day at work on Friday if you do not wish to acknowledge Matariki as a public holiday for the country.
@@ranzrewiri LOL NO IT WASN'T - It was created just a few years ago and now yr trying to rewrite history ... Do Better.
@@ronnymcdonald2543do some research and trying looking back longer than a couple years ago, and stop making ridiculous, bias statements trying to discredit Māori knowledge and research, you actually look stupid in these comments. Do better. We have traditional laments that a hundreds of years old orally transmitted and then recorded in literature in the 1800. We have also have Elsdon Best who was a Pākehā ethnographer, who dedicated a large part of his career studying the Māori culture. He wrote many books that had reference to Matariki and Māori cosmology, particularly the book ‘The astronomical knowledge of the Maori’ published 1922. I look forward to reading your reply showing some facts to back up your ridiculous statement!
You mean, it was forbidden or beaten out and until the 2000s more people showed more interest in it, which makes it what it is today. By all means believe what you believe but maybe the answers your looking for could be found in your own impulse to mana munch on social media🥴
@@user-gj2oz3qj6g ABSOLUTE LIES MATARIKI IS A MADE UP FAIRY TALE JUST LIKE MOST MODERN MYSTICAL MAGICAL MAORI BULLSHIT --- Maori had their own cultural classes and language classes at school in the early 1980s, no-one was beating anything out of Maoris Yah Clown ... Just Stop It With The Victim Bullshit !
Is this the same racist toxic carnt that had her rant on the white man a few weeks ago

Kia ora from Lebanon ❤

He Māori ahau, engari e noho tonu au ki Piripane. We’ve been attending Torian for the last 5 yrs. And we’re sooooo proud of every Māori (tuatahi) & Kiwi that we see on the Torian floor. The last 2 yrs, our roopu has screamed for Hiko & theres always, always other roopu screaming behind us, in front of us, everywhere! You have sooo much support in the crowd too Hiko. One of the many reasons I love supporting you because you incorporate Te Ao Māori. Kia kaha tonu Hiko!! 🙌🙌
This is awesome!! One day we will be supporting him at the GAMES!

Very inspiring brother Hiko, kaore koe e Rangatahi, he tino Rangatira koe e te parata ✊🏽 another meke poddy Ranz keep em coming🔥🔥🔥
I love how my sons whanau, begun gathering for Matariki, last year with their elders and our mokopuna to hold wananga as a whanau hui to embrace their whakapapa in connection to te Ao Maori. Great whakaaro, where Te Ao Maori principles naturally align, as Maori to life's journey, to be at your best in all you do.
What a great watch❤
Mean poddy brothers, took so much from this especially around politics and how that plays a massive part in our daily lives. Also got a better understanding around Te Tiriti and it’s importance to us especially as Tangata Māori and how the current government are looking at taking those rights we are entitled to. Would be mean to get a poddy with the broz Māmā. Mean mahi bro as always 🙌🏽
Hard, should check out the never ceded vids they go into waay more depth 🔥🤌
